Station
1
106 Spruce Street
Headquarters Station
for Kings Mountain Fire Department is Station 1, located in the
basement of City Hall. Station 1 houses the offices of the Fire
Chief, Assistant Chief, and Fire Prevention Bureau, and will
continue to cover the primary amount of calls for the City. The
following apparatus are assigned to Station 1: Engine 284, Engine
283, Brush unit 287, and our light unit/command post 288.

Station 2
1207 Shelby Road
A long time dream of
the Kings Mountain Fire Department has been Station 2, which was
completed and opened in September 2002. The City of Kings Mountain
is divided by railroad tracks, which has long hampered some response
times to the western part of the City. Station 2 will eliminate
those delays as well as decrease response times to assist volunteer
mutual aid departments Bethlehem VFD and Oak Grove VFD. Ladder 1
and Engine 282 are the apparatus assigned to Station 2.
